“It’s a good idea, but how about some follow through?”
James 1:19-27

 I. We need to be doers of the word and not just hearers.  v22-24

A.  Our call is to follow and obey not to hear and believe. v22
B.  When we just listen our faith is useless.  v23-24

 II. We have no excuse, God has provided all of the resources we need to live for Him.  v21, 25

A.  We have the Holy Spirit inside of us. v21
B.  We have the God’s word, the Bible. v25
C.  When we use these resources we will be a blessing. v25

 III. Two examples of “doing” God’s word. v19-21a, 26

A.  Handling anger in a positive way. v19-21a
B.  Using our words to build up and not tear down. v26

 IV.  The final analysis...Real faith is seen by our actions and not our beliefs. v27
