(Infants – Kindergarten)

In the Preschool Ministry at Westport Road Baptist Church our mission is to lead preschoolers to understand and experience God’s love! Through Bible lessons, songs and crafts we strive to actively engage kids in learning that God loves them and they can love God too!

Sunday Mornings

 9:30 – Preschoolers enjoy large group/small group activities during this service! They form relationships with the teachers each week and learn to experience that church is a fun and safe place where they learn about God’s love. The Three Year Olds through the Kindergarteners experience a large group/small group setting where they do hands on activities and discussion in small groups with their teachers and then join together for music, puppets and Bible story in a large group setting.

10:45 – During this service preschoolers experience the love of God through activities with others in their age group. Kids can expect to learn a Bible story, make a craft and have a snack!

Sunday Evenings

6:00 p.m. – Currently our Three year olds through Kindergarteners are participating in Preschool Choir. Preschoolers practice songs, learn some motions and usually end with a snack! Preschoolers also perform for family and friends on a Sunday evening! Our younger kids are taught to experience God’s love for them at church from loving caregivers during this time.

Wednesday Evenings

6:30 p.m. – Preschool Threes through Kindergarteners enjoy a puppet format, video based curriculum on Wednesday evening. During this time they learn a song, watch a Bible story, work on memorizing a Bible verse and learn a practical life application from the week’s theme. Preschoolers are encouraged to memorize a Bible verse throughout the week and recite it when they return the next week.

This series aims to teach preschoolers that Jesus should have first place in their life. Our puppet friends Cassie, Spencer and Baxter will show us how Jesus lived his life and we will give us practical ways to make Him the boss of our attitudes and actions!
