Resurrection Day
“Find It Here”
John 20:19-29

I. We live in a world filled with fear and turmoil.  V19a

Five common fears:

· Fear of the future.
· Fear of failure.
· Fear of loneliness.
· Fear of God.
· Fear of death.

II. Jesus’ resurrection is the way to find peace for our fears. V19b-20

· Belief in the resurrection takes someone from fear to being overjoyed.
· The future is in his hands.
· We cannot ultimately fail in Him.
· He is always with us and gives us a family, the church.
· He loves us and died for us.
· He brings resurrection and eternal life.

 III. Jesus calls and empowers His family, the church, to take the Good News of His peace to
          a world in fear.  V21-22

IV.  God wants everyone to know His peace.  V24-28

V.    Our job is to have a faith in the resurrection  that is lived out by our actions. v29
