I.  Religion:  Tries to reach up to God.

Relationship:  God reaches down to us.

II. Religion:  Tries to earn God’s love.

 Relationship:  God always loves me.

III. Religion:  It’s about what you do.

Relationship:  It’s about what God has done.

IV. Religion:  There are good or bad people.

Relationship:  People in/out of relationship.

V. Religion:  Leads to arrogance or failure.

Relationship:  Leads to freedom and joy.

VI.  Religion:  Motivated by need and causes fear.

Relationship:  Motivated by love and causes peace and confidence.
