James 4:1-12

 II. Hot heads make tense situations worse.  4:1-5

A.  Quarrels and fights come from a battle inside of us that we lose.  v1
B.  Sin’s momentary victory in our battle leads us to be selfish and adopt the ways of the       world.  v2-5

III. God has given us a plan to win the battle.  4:6-12

A.  Live in the light of God’s grace.  v6
B.  Be humble and submit to God.  v7-8a, 10
C.  Resist the devil.  v7b

 D.  Repent and change your ways.  v8b-9, 11-12
