Kent and Ineda Pendleton
Memorial Scholarship
$1,000 One-Time Gift to a WRBC Graduating High School Senior
The Kent and Ineda Pendleton Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of the namesakes who were long-time members of Westport Road Baptist Church. They were the parents of WRBC Pastor, Chip Pendleton, his wife Dawn, and WRBC Members Sarita Pendleton and Karina McDonald. They were also the proud grandparents of Damen McDonald, Alyssa McClure, and Andrew Pendleton who grew up at WRBC. Chip, Sarita, and Karina decided to create this scholarship in memory of their parents in 2021.
This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who is active in the church and is planning on pursuing higher education. The scholarship helps carry on the legacy of Kent and Ineda Pendleton who loved the church and especially cared for its students. They always wanted to see their children and grandchildren do well and this scholarship will now help other children succeed for years to come. The recipient of the Kent and Ineda Pendleton Memorial Scholarship will exemplify Jesus’ teachings in the Great Commandment to “Love God and Love People.”
